Eithiopian Welo Opal Necklace

A stunning faceted Eithiopian welo opal is hand set in a bezelled, hand forged setting. Surrounded by swirls and hanging at an asymmetrical angle, this pendant is secured by a hand created clasp and hangs at 18in. 

Once a bezel setting is created to fit the stone, a backplate was hand pierced to secure the stone and additonal swirls forged out of round wire. Once soldered together, the piece is cleaned and polished with a final careful setting of the stone. Eithiopian welo opals are very special and require careful consideration. This stone has tremendous flash and fire that cannot be captured by photos. 

This necklace is at a reduced rate due to a scratch along the bottom of the stone - it is relatively hard to see. 

This piece cannot be exposed to liquids, water, lotion or perfume.
